Harrison County Supervisors Meeting September 25, 2024 The Board met as part of the Four County Regional Board of Supervisors. Bo Fox called the meeting to order. Approval of the tentative agenda was made by Heiden, second by Parkhurst. Motion carried. Roll call: John Straight, Brian Rife, Susan Bonham, Megan Reffett, Bo Fox, Vince Phillips, Tom Brouillette, Peggy Rolph, Charlie Parkhurst, Taryn Knapp, Jean Heiden, Craig Dozark The process of county budgets was discussed with each county detailing the process that they go thru. Discussion on sharing county assessors took place. None of the four counties were currently without an assessor. Discussion on county compensation boards took place with all counties except Harrison had reinstated their compensation boards. Suspicious mail is a new potential problem for county auditors. Harrison County is developing new procedures for handling the mail and has an upcoming training planned for staff. Crawford County asked if any other county gave property tax incentives to firefighters. Crawford County had looked into the possibility of incentives, but decided against it due to logistics of the program. No other county provided incentives. Some fire/rescue departments partner with schools for junior members on the department. Next meeting will be hosted by Harrison County. With business of the day completed, the Board adjourned on a motion by Straight, second by Phillips. Motion carried.
