Harrison County Supervisors Meeting November 2, 2023 Chairman John Straight called the meeting to order with members Tony Smith and Brian Rife in attendance. Motion to approve the tentative agenda was made by Rife, second by Smith. Motion carried. Previous minutes were approved on a motion by Smith, second by Rife. Motion carried. Attendance: Auditor Susan Bonham, Paul J. Rhoten Handwritten Warrants A handwritten warrant to Woodhouse in the amount of $48,759.00 was approved on a motion by Smith, second by Rife. Motion carried. A handwritten warrant to US Bank in the amount of $7,894.85 was approved on a motion by Rife, second by Smith. Motion carried. Courthouse Entrance/Door Project Auditor Bonham asked the Board if they were interested in starting the process for the Courthouse entrance/door replacement project. This project was originally included in the window project, but was separated out after no bids were received in the first bid notice. The Board felt that Auditor Bonham could contact the architect to start the process again. Utility Permit A utility permit application from Windstream to bore a copper communication line encased in 1.25” conduit along 271st Street from an existing pedestal north under F50/Martin Street to 610 E Palmer Street in Modale. Motion to approve by Rife, second by Smith. Motion carried. With business of the day completed, the Board adjourned on a motion by Rife, second by Smith. Motion carried.
