Richard B. Cue, 66

Richard Bruce Cue, 66, died on Aug. 17, 2021, at UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City. He was born on May 22, 1955, to Maynard and Marjorie (Coleman) Cue in Manning. He grew up in Dunlap and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1973. Richard then attended Nebraska College of Business in Omaha. Richard worked at Ozzies Furniture in Council Bluffs, the Woodbine Coop gas station in Woodbine, Big C Lumber in Denison and a lumberyard in St. George, Utah. He moved back to Sioux City and worked at Menards. He retired from Menards in 2017.

Richard enjoyed watching tv, reading western books, collecting model cars and doing jigsaw puzzles. He enjoyed his Dodge trucks. He really liked to picking on and razzing people. He especially enjoyed joking around with his great niece, Bell. In Richard’s younger years, he helped take care of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with his folks and siblings.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, Linda and her husband Rick Hamman of Mapleton, David Cue and his wife Brynne of Denison, Kenneth Cue and his wife Kathleen of Persia, Duane Cue of Arion and Maynard Cue of Sioux City; niece and nephews, Heath, Cameron and Todd Dewaele and Katie and Kaleb Cue; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at the Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap. Officating was Pastor Aaron Terwilleger. Special recorded selections of “Amazing Grace” and “In the Garden” were played. Pallbearers were Kenny Cue, Maynard Cue, Cameron Dewaele, Todd Dewaele, Kaleb Cue and Rick Hamman. Final resting place was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap.
