Raymond Lee Krajicek, 89, died at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine on Oct. 9, 2020. He was born July 11, 1931, to Joseph and Clara (Steyskal) Frank in Papillion, Neb. The family lived in Papillion and later moved to Dunlap where Ray attended St. Joseph Catholic School. Ray had polio when he was young so he stayed at home and worked on the farm with his parents. Ray married Shirley Schaefer on August 6, 1960, in Omaha, Neb. Ray worked as a farm hand for various farmers.

Ray was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Ray’s hobby were talking and working. His passion was feeding cattle. After retirement, Ray and Shirley enjoyed making crafts. Ray also mowed many yards and shoveled snow over the years. Ray was always there for his kids and his grandkids.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Krajicek on Mar. 29, 2015; one great-grandson, Riley Christopher Beeck; and three brothers, Joe, Leonard and Donald Krajicek. He is survived by his four children, Scott Krajicek and his wife Carole of Logan, Margaret “Peggy” Stessman of Lebanon, Ind., Paula and her husband Brian Heffernan of Dunlap, Adam Krajicek and his wife Geana of Carter Lake; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one “grand fur baby”, Charlie; and many other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dunlap with Father Joel McNeil presiding over the service. The song “How Great Thou Art” was performed by Makayla & Faith, great-granddaughters of Ray. Ray’s final resting place is at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap.
