John Francis Miller was born on Nov. 2, 1939, to Isidore and Hazel (Brown) Miller in Earling. He was raised near Earling and attended country school. He graduated from Dunlap High School in 1958. On Feb. 27, 1960, John married Mary Jane Gray in Denison. The couple lived in Omaha, Neb. until the fall of 1960, when they moved to their farm west of Dunlap. While farming, John worked at IBP, OMNI Construction, Land O’ Lakes/QLF, CPS/AG Nutrient as well as drove the school bus for many years. John enjoyed the friendships and laughter he shared with everyone on his journey.

He enjoyed playing cards in the afternoons with his card buddies and the evenings with his family.
