It’s the time of year where the Harrison County Veterans Affairs (VA) office prepares to recognize two veterans in the community during fair week.
If you would like to nominate a veteran, a nomination form can be picked up at the VA office in Logan or by contacting the office via email or phone call.
Nominations require the individual nominating to include their name, the veteran’s name, branch of service, service dates, service medals, awards or recognitions and a short bio.
A photo of the veteran must also be submitted.
Those nominated must be an honorably discharged veteran with a DD214 recorded at the recorder’s office, must be a Harrison County resident for a minimum of 12 months and must be available to ride in the parade on July 22 at 9 a.m.
