Edwin Wayne Coleman, 65, of Missouri Valley, passed away Friday, Oct., 2, 2020, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.
Per Ed’s wishes cremation has occurred. A Private Family Memorial Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Ed was born July 18, 1955, in Manning, the son of Clifton Ronald and Lucille Charollette Anna (Alpert) Coleman. He grew up in Dunlap and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1973. He was on the national honor society and was a great basketball player, which earned him a four year scholarship to any college. Ed attended College in Fremont, Neb. studying psychology.
He was very good at playing guitar and singing, which was a hobby. Ed worked as a photographer at department stores. He also worked as a printer for a printing company and a security guard at Cargill in Blair, Neb. for five years.
Survivors include a sister, Joy Coleman of Missouri Valley; brother, Ronald and his wife, Terry Coleman of Bloomington, Ill.; nieces, Kandi Archer and family of Missouri Valley, Kelli Tilbury and family of Modale, Kristi Coleman and family of Lincoln, Neb., and Sheri Gorski and family of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Ronald and Lucille Charollette Anna (Alpert) Coleman; and a brother, Billy Coleman.
