Debora Sue Soll was born on Feb. 12, 1961, to Norman and Martha (Hunter) Malone in Manning. She was baptized at the Congregational Church in Arion. Deb graduated from Dow City High School with the class of 1979. On Apr. 7, 1979, Deb was united in marriage to Terry Soll at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. To this union, two boys were born: William and Derek. She worked at CJ’s Restaurant before enrolling into the Stewart Cosmetology School in Council Bluffs. After receiving her cosmetology license, she worked around the Crawford County area before owning and operating The Hair Shop in Denison for many years. Deb held many talents in life; she enjoyed decorating her home, cooking, baking and crocheting. She loved going camping with her grandchildren and was a very devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Deb passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at the Dunlap Specialty Care Center attaining the age of fifty-nine years, ten months and two days. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Malone; step-father, Ed Higgins; brother, Daniel “Boone” Malone. Left to cherish her memory, her sons, William Soll of Dow City, Derek Soll and his wife Christy of Dow City and their father, Terry Soll of Dow City; 8 grandchildren; mother, Martha Higgins of Dow City; brother, George Malone and his wife Julie of Dow City; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dow City. Rev. Chad Trunkhill officiated the service with interment in the Dow City Cemetery. Music selections included "In the Garden," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "On Eagle's Wings." Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jaylena Soll, Emily Soll, Ayden Soll, Mason Soll and Brooke Bridgeman. Serving as pallbearers were Richie Malone, Corey Malone, Jeff Malone, Dillion Soll, Travis Schulte, Brian Soll, Hunter Soll and Daltyn Soll. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of arrangements.
