A two-vehicle crash between a pair of individuals driving southbound on I-29 near mile marker 92 injured both parties on March 24.

Jonathan Terpstra, 27, of Bellevue, Neb., was transported by Life Net to University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha following the crash.

Kreece Robinson, 25, of Shepherd, Mont., was transported by Mondamin Rescue to CHI Health Missouri Valley.

According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, Terpstra was driving his 2024 Toyota Corolla when he lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the left lane before returning into the right lane. Robinson, who was operating a 2001 Freightliner semi, swerved into the left lane to avoid contact but struck the Corolla's rear.

Following the collision, Terpstra's vehicle came to rest in the west ditch and Robinson's semi overturned onto its driver's side and came to rest partially in the west ditch and partially on the west shoulder.

As of last week, the crash was still under investigation. The Harrison County Sheriff's Office also assisted at the scene.

The crash report from the Iowa State Patrol says both individuals' lives were saved by wearing a seatbelt.
