City of Dunlap October 9, 2024 Mayor Knickman called the regular council meeting to order on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Bonsall, Gunia, Wingrove, Murphy, Schauer. Motion by Wingrove second by Murphy to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve minutes from September 11 Regular Council Meeting. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Murphy to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Wingrove to approve consent agenda items: Building Permits; St. John Lutheran Church-cement, Luke Fouts-cement, Boyer Valley Car Wash-sign, David Brich-cement. All in favor, motion carried. Several Citizens talked under Public Input. Larry Malone spoke about the dock at Pleasant View Park and let the Council know he called Harrison County Roads about Harrison Road pothole. Tony Casperson spoke about cold patch. Allison Hicks spoke about stop sign placement on Iowa Ave and the bus stop behind the school. Food Trucks were discussed, it will be discussed again next month. Jayne Klein asked for a designated spot for Klein Senior Insurance. Motion by Gunia second by Wingrove to approve a parking spot for Klein Senior Insurance. All in favor, motion carried. Paula Evans gave the library report. Tony Warnock gave the Water/Wastewater Report. Nyemaster Goode, P.C. will be helping us with an agreement with QLF. Chief Miller gave the Police Report. Motion by Bonsall second by Schauer to approve the McClures engineering scope for Pleasant View Park for $23,930. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Murphy second by Wingrove to approve Petersen’s installing a sprinkler on City property. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Schauer to approve getting a truck mat and bed liner installed. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Wingrove to make Eaton Street one way at 12th Street and 11th Street to Eagle Street during school hours. All in favor, motion carried.
