City of Dunlap Meeting Minutes May 11, 2021 Mayor Knickman called the regular council meeting to order on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Hopkins, Gunia, Casperson, Schauer, Kuhlman. Motion by Kuhlman second by Gunia to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Kuhlman second by Casperson to approve minutes from April 14th regular meeting and April 21st and 27th special meetings. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Scahuer second by Hopkins to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Kuhlman second by Gunia to approve consent agenda items: Building permit for Ryan Jeff Lehan, Roger Zehner, John Klien and Liquor License for 4-County Fair. All in favor, motion carried. After some discussion about Erin and Todd Soma’s building permit a motion Gunia second by Kuhlman to approve the permit. All in favor, motion carried. Paula Evans gave a report on the library. Tony Warnock, Water Superintendent let the council know he would he would like to put a shed up by the water tower to keep the controls for the pressure system instead of having the controls underground. Motion by Gunia second by Schauer to approve Tony putting up a small shed for $1500. All in favor, motion carried. John and Jayne came to the meeting to discuss water issues they are having. Motion by Kuhlman second by Hopkins to hire Nathaniel Green, Ailidh Carroll, Faith Beeck, Sydney Klein, Taylor Dunham, Eli Garside, Jennifer Neilsen, Caiden Neilsen, Maci Miller and Leah Cooper. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Kuhlman to pay returning guards $9.25, new guards $9.00 and the managers Ann and Jean $10.00. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Kuhlman second by Casperson to set pool rates as: $4.00 daily pass, $75.00 single pass and family pass $150.00. All in favor, motion carried. Joyce Cogdill let the council know that the pancake breakfast is going to happen this year on Sunday, May 30th. They are also going to be putting the flags up on Sunday, May 23rd at 7am. Motion by Kuhlman second by Schauer to hire Todd Denton, Darin Kline, Dan TenEyck, Christian Leisinger and not Ray Ohl. Ayes: Kuhlman, Schauer, Hopkins, Nays: Casperson, Gunia. Motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Casperson to adjourn at 8:46pm. All in favor, motion carried. These minutes will be approved at the next regular council meeting.
