City of Dunlap Meeting Minutes August 14, 2024 Mayor Pro tem Gunia called the regular council meeting to order on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Bonsall, Schauer; Gunia, Wingrove, Murphy. Motion by Schauer second by Wingrove to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Murphy to approve minutes from July 10 Regular Council Meeting. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Schauer to approve consent agenda items: Building Permits; Dunlap Public Library- pad for book drop, Isabella Hale- 3 Gallop Circle house, Jeff Lehan- covered deck. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Schauer to deny Greg Stinn-shed. Motion died due to lack of second. Joyce Cogdill gave the Fire Department Report. Jill Schaben requested permission from the Council to put a wayfinding sign up for the Railroad stair project. Paula Evans gave the library report. Tony Warnock gave the Water/Wastewater Report. Larry Malone spoke under Public Input about a property in Dunlap. Chief Miller gave the Police Report. Officer Melton will graduate on Friday. Motion by Schauer second by Murphy to give Officer Melton a 5% raise. All in favor, motion carried. Meredith Van Houten, City Clerk asked the Council to advertise for a Public Works and Police positions in the paper. Motion by Wingrove second by Bonsall to approve Carol Murphy to clean City Hall. Ayes: Schauer, Wingrove, Gunia, Bonsall; Abstain: Murphy. Motion Carried. Motion by Schauer second by Murphy to make S. 11th Street and Eaton Street one way Monday thru Friday 7am-4pm. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Wingrove to adjourn at 8:15 pm. All in favor, motion carried. These minutes will be approved at the next regular council meeting.
