BOYER VALLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS - SPECIAL MEETING – APRIL 24, 2023 7:45 A.M. – BOYER VALLEY SOUTH, BOARD ROOM CALL TO ORDER: President Steve Puck called the special meeting of the Boyer Valley Board of Education to order at 7:45 a.m. Members answering roll call were Elizabeth Heistand, Craig Malone, Kim McAllister, Jen Miller and Steve Puck. Directors Cogdill and Hansen were absent. Administrators present: Supt. Jeremy Christiansen. OPEN FORUM: None. VAN PURCHASE: Motion by Malone, second by Miller to approve the purchase of a 12-passenger van in the amount of $45,000. Motion carried 5-0. APPROVE GRADUATION LIST: Motion by Heistand, second by Miller to approve the graduation list as presented for the Class of 2023 providing all students have earned the credits to graduate. Motion carried 5-0. RESIGNATIONS: Motion by Miller, second by Malone to approve the resignation of Kim Leinen, Kindergarten Teacher. Motion carried 5-0. Motion by Miller, second by McAllister to approve the resignation of Jordan Torres, MS/HS Math Instructor. Motion carried 5-0. CONTRACTS: Motion by Malone, second by Heistand to approve a contract for Nick Lefebvre – Summer Weightlighting Coordinator for $4,000. Motion carried 5-0. A motion by Heistand, second by Miller to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
